Built for surfaces that beat ordinary ink. Aqueous coated envelopes, varnished mailers, PVC membership cards, plastic stock, Tyvek — the Max 3 handles them all with a single cartridge. No ink changes between substrates. No slowdowns.

Aggressive formulation, tight image. The Max 3 was specifically formulated to produce a tighter image on substrates with lower surface tension — the exact condition that causes standard inks to spread, feather, or bead. The result is sharp text and clean, scannable barcodes even on the most challenging media.

Fast dry time without a dryer. Dries in one second unassisted on copy paper, coated stock, Kelstar AQ 587, and chipboard. PVC card requires approximately three seconds — still fast enough for production speeds without IR assist.

Excellent wet rub resistance. Rated 5/5 on copy paper, coated stock, and chipboard. Rated 4/5 on PVC card. Once it's dry, it stays put — critical for mail pieces that get handled, sorted, and processed through postal equipment.

Over one hour decap time. Intermittent print runs won't kill this cartridge. The Max 3 tolerates extended idle periods without nozzle clogging — a critical feature for shops that don't run continuous production.

Cartridge Care — Get the Most from Every Cartridge

The Max 3's aggressive formulation delivers outstanding results on difficult substrates, but it rewards proper handling:

• Clean the printhead with a water-dampened, lint-free cloth only — no solvents needed
• Wipe slowly and lightly across the long edge with the printhead facing down
• Avoid excess pressure — it can scratch the printhead surface
• Avoid lint — it can clog nozzles

If your equipment will be down less than one day: leave cartridges installed and wipe/purge before the next run. If down more than one day: remove cartridges and cap with a cartridge clip. Wipe and purge before resuming.

The cleaning wipes included with your order are ideal for routine printhead maintenance.
